What is Reflexology good for?
Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a holistic non-evasive therapy that treats the whole person; body, mind and spirit.
It works by stimulating reflexes on the feet (or hands) that corresponds to a particular organ, system or structure in the body to release stress or tension within that area. The release of tension may unblock nerve impulses, improve blood supply to all parts of the body and may stimulate the body's innate healing ability.
Reflexology is safe for everyone, babies to the elderly and can be used alongside existing therapies or treatments.
What can Reflexology help with?
Relaxation and better sleep
Stress / Anxiety
Back & neck pain
PMS & Menopause symptoms
Reduction of headaches
Elimination of toxins
Digestive disorders and constipation
Energy levels
Improve circulation
Many more…
Before your treatment:
Don’t eat a heavy meal 1-2 hours prior to your appointment. This is to prevent inducing any nausea, and to give the digestive system sufficient time to do what it needs to do.
During your treatment:
Each treatment will last approx 45mins. Your first visit will last an hour as it will include a consultation where we'll have a chat about your what you need from your session, what ailments you have, as well as medical history and general health. This helps in the planning of your treatment which is tailored specifically for you.
The treatment will then begin with some gentle relaxation techniques followed by me applying pressure to each of the reflex points. The pressure will be firm but not painful, although some reflex points may seem more uncomfortable than others, which is an indication of tension and imbalance in a corresponding part of the body.
Everyone’s Reflexology experience is different, but generally people feel a sense of deep relaxation and many fall asleep. Some have reported to have felt pressure and aches in their bodies melt away, others are extremely sleepy and need to go to bed.
reactions you may feel:
Sleepy
feeling light headed
Relaxed
coughing
laughing / crying
increased thirst
disappearance of all pain / discomfort
Less agitated
After your treatment:
After treatment you may experience some reactions - most of the time they are positive reactions. No matter how insignificant they may feel, they are of great importance, as they show how your body is responding to treatments, so take note of what is happens in between your appointment.
Possible reactions:
Feelings of well-being
Deep relaxation and peacefulness
Ability to cope with stresses more evenly for some days following treatment
Generally feeling happier

Cold like symptoms
A need to urinate more than usual or more frequent or explosive bowel movements
More emotional than usual
More lethargic than usual
Poor sleep, feeling of wakefulness
Tiredness
Symptoms of an existing or previous condition that has never truly healed may flare up or worsen before it improves.
Aftercare Advice:
To ensure you get the full benefits of your treatment, it is recommended that you carry out the following for 24 hours following treatment:
Drink plenty of water as this will help hydrate the body, flush out toxins and improve energy levels.
Try to rest for a couple of hours following treatment and avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day as this will help the treatment work to it's full potential.
Avoid tea, coffee and alcohol as these are stimulants and will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Eat a light and healthy diet to allow your body to put its energy into healing.
Make a note of any reactions you experience for your next appointment.
It is important to remember that any reactions that you experience are a positive sign that your body is responding to treatment.
How often should I have a treatment?
If your reason for having Reflexology is to seek help for a particular condition, then a course of regular weekly treatments may be advisable in order to feel the full benefits of Reflexology. Following your first appointment, a treatment plan will be devised, recommending between 5 -10 weekly treatments. This will be dependent upon your age and state of health and nature of your condition and how long it has been present.
Our aim is to move you from: weekly. ( crisis mode) to fortnightly ( repairing mode) to 3 weekly ( management mode) and finally to monthly ( preventative mode)
Not only is reflexology an excellent treatment to alleviate pain and discomfort when used as a preventative treatment you will find yourself staying fitter and healthier and more balanced throughout the month.

Why You Need To Use a Cleanser On Your Skin In The Morning
Have you cleansed your skin this morning?
As you sleep your whole body , including your skin, is repairing and renewing itself. It is going through a process of regeneration which means every cell in your body takes in nutrients and expels toxins.
Your skin cells take in nutrients from the blood stream and the surface cells from the serums and treatment creams you have applied before sleep, then excrete toxins.
Some of these toxins are collected by the lymphatic system (that's why drinking water before bed and on rising is so important) then processed through the liver, kidneys, and lungs.
Some of the toxins are excreted to the surface of the skin overnight via the sweat ducts. One of these waste by-products is urea, the same substance in urine. So literally your skin excretes waste on your face overnight, so that's WHY you need to use a cleanser in the morning! Just splashing water will not cut it I’m afraid.
Leaving sweat, urea and oil on the skin may cause breakouts, congestion and free radical damage which accelerates aging.

Is Botox the best option for my wrinkles?
Not necessarily, there’s no judgement here but there are other options.
This is an actual query from a client considering Botox.
“ I have frown lines on my forehead and wrinkles around my eyes and lips and my jaw line is looking a little softer. I am looking at getting Botox at a cost of $350 every 3 months. I’m unsure what to do. Do you think your tailored customised facials would be better for me!”
So glad you are looking at this option. Thank you for coming to me and for doing your research before you start investing your time and money into your rejuvenating journey.
firstly it’s unlikely you can get all of the areas you mentioned addressed by Botox alone, it is very likely that each area will be treated separately and therefore will cost more than the quoted $350.
I have actually helped clients get off Botox and the main reason was there skin did not look any better, they just had no wrinkles, secondly the rising cost was something they were feeling uncomfortable with and they felt they had no option but to rebook every 3 months, as without it their face just fell. How awful is that?
Every time they got a treatment here at Sole Revival, they were very happy and were able to last much longer than their 3 months for Botox, until gradually they were able to get off it altogether.
With customised facials you are improving your own elasticity, skin tone, pores and collagen production. Your skin becomes stronger with each treatment. Whereas with Botox there is no real improvement, a muscle that is not used is a muscle that dies.
1. Botox is botulism, which is a muscle freezer. That can not be doing your kidneys or liver any good to process that. Not to mention the risks, we have all seen the horror stories, of people being permanently disfigured due to unidentifiable ingredients in the injectables. It’s only now the scientific evidence is emerging and uncovering the real long term damage it does to the nerves and the brain.
2. The cost will keep increasing as more areas need done and then you start to get fillers, and I have to say, eventually people look a bit odd.

Pigmentation what is it and how can you treat it?
Pigmentation what is it and how can we treat it ?
Ahh! Pigmentation, NO ONE likes it and its damn hard to get rid of. Lets look at what we can do fOr it.
First up Laser is one of the top treaments for Pigmentation Removal.
Skin Conditions Treated
Freckles
Sun Spots
Hyperpigmentation
Age spots (solar lentigines)
Flat pigmented birthmarks (congenital melanocytic )
About the treatment
Here at Sole Revival we have been successfully treating all types of skin pigmentation from freckle removal, sun spots to age spots on facial and body areas.
What is pigmentation?
It is a build up of melanocytes (cells containing melanin) under the skin, also referred to as freckles and age spots on the hands, face and body areas.
How do you treat it?
Different types of laser can be used depending on the type of pigmentation. If pigmentation is superficial laser treatment is effective in removing pigmentation in as little as 1-6 treatments.
Laser treatment is one of the most advanced treatments for removing unwanted pigmentation on the skin such as age spots, sun spots, and freckles.
Skin Pigmentation Removal is a quick, gentle and non-invasive treatment.
This specially designed laser is absorbed only by the cells containing excessive concentrations of pigment. It does not affect the surrounding tissues or remove the normal skin colour. The light pulses produced by the laser can feel similar to the flicking of a rubber elastic band and for most people is not too uncomfortable. Immediate darkening is noticed after treatment. For 7-10 days the area will look like a dark scab which eventually sheds off.
How does Laser Pigmentation Removal work?
The Laser produces a wavelength of high energy light, which is then converted into heat energy. This can target the specific area of pigmentation because the laser is absorbed only by cells containing an excessive concentration of pigmentation. This causes efficient destruction while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged.
Benefits of Pigmentation Removal with Laser
Can minimise and eliminate the appearance of pigmentation
Treats body and facial areas
Minimal side effects and recovery time
Make-up can be worn after treatment.
What causes pigmentation?
Environmental factors, sunlight, ultraviolet rays, hormonal changes, and some medications all contribute to pigmentation changes. These can range from freckles, sunspots, age spots to melasma and can occur on the face or body at any age. When the body produces either too much or too little melanin, this results in hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation which appears as a dark or light marks on the surface of the skin.
What areas can be treated for hyperpigmentation?
Any area of your face and body can be treated. The most common areas are face, neck, hands, chest and shoulders, which typically are the most exposed areas to the damaging effects of the sun.
Is laser removal successful for freckle removal?
Yes! If pigmentation is in superficial lesions.
How many treatments will I need?
The amount of treatments you require depends on the depth and density of the pigmentation.
How much will it cost?
The cost depends on the size of the area you want treated and how long your treatment takes. Prices generally start from $70
Does it hurt?
It can be a bit uncomfortable, it’s like an elastic band snapping you. The higher the level the more it will darken and the longer the downtime will be ( 5-10 days)
Is laser pigmentation safe?
Ad the laser only targets the area with the excessive melanin it is very safe. Here at Sole Revival we are fully accredited laser technicians and certified laser safety officers.
Apart from the sun, what causes Dark Spots?Dark spots on the skin, also called hyperpigmentation, are a common skin problem. There are a variety of conditions and agents that can cause them to develop. One of the most under-recognised causes of dark spots is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This occurs after some type of trauma to the skin – especially infections like acne. This and other skin diseases are listed here:
Melasma
Riehl’s melanosis
Poikiloderma of Civatte
Erythromelanosis follicularis
Linea Fusca
Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Certain medications can also sensitise the skin to the sun and other medications can cause dark spots without sun exposure. The most common offending medications are:
Estrogens
Tetracyclines
Amiodarone
Phenytoin
Phenothiazines
Sulfonamides
UV light is a major cause of not only dark spots, but other types of skin damage. The various types of dark spots caused by UV light are:
Melasma
Solar lentigines – freckles
Ephelides
Other conditions or diseases that can cause dark spots:
Pregnancy
Liver disease
Addison’s disease
Hemachromatosis
Pituitary tumors
On a final note, I would like to add that by including specific products into your skincare regime, not only will you assist your skin to breakdown the pigmentation but will also help to protect your skin from pigment forming. Should you be exfoliating your skin? What’s the best exfoliation?
Our skin naturally exfoliates dead cells every day, but over time—primarily as a result of age and unprotected sun exposure—this shedding process slows and may stop altogether.
This may result in dull, dry, flaky skin or clogged, enlarged pores, bumpy skin, wrinkles, loss of firmness, and uneven skin tone.
Helping skin gently exfoliate its buildup of dead skin, the way it naturally did when we were younger, will reveal the beautiful, soft, hydrated skin hiding beneath, this can be achieved is as quickly as a one hour session at Sole Revival.
Without question, the top two most effective exfoliant are microdermabrasion and a AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid)
What’s the difference? Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation using diamond technology, it’s gentle, effective and extremely relaxing. AHA/BHA are a chemical exfoliant, can be a little bit tingly and your therapist will judge how long to leave it on for in order to give you the maximum benefits with no irritation.
Both treatments can make a world of difference in your skin’s appearance. We’re often asked which one is best, and the answer is both are just as effective but if you have very sensitive, prone to redness skin then you may find the diamond microdermabrasion would be a better choice for you.
How AHAs and BHA are Similar
AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, e.g. glycolic and lactic acids) and BHA (beta hydroxy/salicylic acid) both act to “unglue” the bonds holding dull, dead skin on the surface. Once those bonds are broken—gently and evenly—skin naturally sheds its spent cells. So, although you won’t actually see your skin exfoliating, you’ll soon see (and feel) the smoother, younger-looking skin.
To work effectively, AHA and BHA exfoliants must be formulated within a narrow pH range, between 3 and 4. Sole Revival is aware of the research around this issue, so all of our AHA and BHA peels are formulated to be as effective, and as gentle, as possible.
As with every Sole Revival product, our chemical exfoliants and the products we use in your customised facials are cruelty free with no nasty ingredients.
Additionally, Microdermabrasion and AHA/BHA both:
diminish the look of lines and wrinkles
make skin look and feel firmer
hydrate skin
improve the look of dull, uneven skin tone
smooth rough, bumpy texture
Is IPL effective in treating acne, ageing skin, rosacea & scarring.?
In one word, YES. It’s an excellent choice for all of those skin conditions. Read on your find out if it’s worth it for you to get it.
Q & A
What is IPL & how does it work?
IPL is Intense Pulse Light therapy designed to boost collagen and elastin in the dermal layers of the skin.
How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation with Radio Frequency work?
IPL technology penetrates and heats the deeper layers of skin, activating fibroblast cells within the deeper layers of skin to produce new collagen and elastin and stimulate cell regeneration. The Collagen plumps up the skin to fill in fine lines and wrinkles while the Elastin helps to firm skin that has began to sag. This whole process results in skin that appears more youthful, smoother, healthier and more radiant.
How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation treat Spider Veins and Rosacea?
IPL therapy uses multiple wavelengths of light and radio frequency to treat the effected area. Effectively, the structures of the condition causing rosacea, pigmentation, broken capillaries or simply the aging of the skin, absorb the precise energy levels, which then destroy the causes of these conditions and promote production of new collagen and elastin.
How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation treat Acne?
IPL Acne treatments utilise a high intensity light source and radio frequency to penetrate through the tissue and destroy acne bacteria quickly and easily.
Acne is a unique skin condition due to it having so many foundations in the basic diagnostic characteristics of texture, colour and secretions. (With the most obvious being colour due to the inflammation)
It is because there are these foundations that there is often confusion where to start when it comes to embarking of an effective treatment.
Many skin treatment therapists immediately go to the secretions (oil) aspect to begin a treatment program because of their understanding of the condition from prior learning.
Other therapists will look at the colour aspect, because they feel the inflammation that is the major symptom should be addressed first.
Acne can also be produced through natural causes, and this is different to that acne coming from a toxic origin. It is less common, but certainly around and unfortunately increasing in frequency.
This type of acne can occur from both the side effects of medications, (antibiotics, cortisone and tranquillisers) occupational causes, and self-infliction.
Establishing cause is the secret with this type of acne, as simply removing the cause generally guarantees some improvement.
How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation treat Pigmentation?
IPL technology has been used with great success to remove pigmented areas on the skin. Using this state of the art technology, charged energy light (IPL) and radio frequency (RF) are selectively emitted and absorbed by the pigmented areas, sparing the normal surrounding tissue. Skin pigmentation in the face, neck, chest and hands can be treated safely and effectively.
What are the results?
Over time and with the right course of treatment, the condition becomes visibly reduced resulting in rejuvenated, collagen enhanced, tighter and younger looking skin.
How many treatments are needed?
The amount of treatments required depends on the severity of the condition. You take as many or as few as you would like.
Effective for the following:
Skin Rejuvenation
Sun damage & pigmentation
Rosacea
Acne
Freckles & sun spots
Broken capillaries / spider veins
Uneven colouring
Scar Reduction

Would you like a younger, fresher face, without surgery? Consider Radio Frequency, the non-surgical facelift.
Radio Frequency Facial. What are they?
People in their 30s considering anti-ageing treatments and maintenance procedures may find radio frequency facial rejuvenation an attractive proposition. It is quick, relatively affordable and requires little down time.
Those who, like Gwyneth Paltrow, would rather stay away from invasive cosmetic surgery and anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injection treatments opt for radio frequency as it is a non-invasive treatment option.
Radio frequency treatments improve the skins elasticity, the skin quality and the tightness. Resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Who is it suitable for ? They are suitable for those who have mild to moderate skin laxity in the face. People of any skin colour can be treated with radio frequency devices.
You are a candidate for radio frequency treatments if you desire any of the following:
To lift the brows and tighten the skin on the forehead
To thicken and tighten the skin under the eyes
To lift the upper cheeks
To lift (slightly) and diminish enlarged pores on the cheeks and mid-face
To reduce jowls and sagging along the jaw line
To tighten skin and diminish wrinkling on the neck
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?
Collagen remodelling is reformation of the skin’s scaffolding and does take time. However clients claim they can see & feel improvements immediately after the treatment. In general though we tell clients to expect to see an improvement over 4-6 weeks, in that time you will notice a change in your skin’s tone, as collagen tightens, scars remodel and skin drainage improves. This change will continue for several months after RF Treatments.
Can reflexology help you sleep better?
A lack of sleep has a detrimental effect on our health & well-being.
The causes of sleep problems vary from person to person, but one of the most prevalent is stress and anxiety. Stress and sleep form a cyclical relationship wherein stress makes it difficult to sleep, and lack of sleep increases stress. A sleep-deprived brain over responds to negative stimuli because of changes in the emotional processing center as well as the logic and reasoning portions of the brain.
These changes cause stress to increase, which then continues sleep deprivation and on the cycle goes.
Stress, of course, can be caused and accompanied by other sleep disruptors too. Chronic pain and other medical conditions can also lie at the heart of both stress and sleep loss.
Reflexology has been and can be successfully used to reduce common sleep disruptors like stress and anxiety to support a better night’s rest.
Reflexology involves applying targeted pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and occasionally other areas of the body. When it comes to sleep, it can be used to put a stopper in the stress-sleep deprivation cycle.
A 2015 study published in the International Journal of Nursing Studies found hand reflexology applied during a procedure reduced patient stress and pain perception. Patients who chose reflexology reported a mean score of 3.24 on a pain scale with a maximum score of 10 while those who were not treated with reflexology had an average score of 5.
Another study found that reflexology can reduce stress and anxiety in postmenopausal women. This particular study compared standard massage to reflexology, finding that both can be helpful. However, scientists have found via Doppler sonography that pressure points in the feet can affect blood flow in certain organs, giving it the ability to target pain or trouble areas in ways massage cannot.
A Lifestyle that Supports Sleep
Whether it’s specific pain points or stress that’s keeping you awake, reflexology may have the ability to hone in on your problem areas. For the full benefits of reflexology, you’ll also need to develop a lifestyle that supports healthy sleep.
For example, if you’re struggling with chronic pain or roving aches and pains, your mattress could be at fault. You may benefit from a model that supports your weight and preferred sleep style—front, back, or side. Your bedroom should be conducive to sleep, which means dark, cool, and quiet.
You can also develop habits that help the body follow and strengthen the sleep cycle:
• A Consistent Nighttime and Morning Schedule: Your body strives to adjust and accommodate your preferred schedule. However, you have to keep a schedule for it to fully respond. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day to encourage deeper, longer sleep.
• Nightly Routine: A routine trains your brain to release sleep hormones. Develop a routine that relaxes your mind and body then follow it every day.
• Reduce Screen Time: Whether it’s scrolling through social media or sending work email, screen time can end up suppressing sleep hormones. Not only that, the content that you watch or read on the screen can increase stress and anxiety.
Conclusion
Good sleep habits and reflexology can help you overcome many sleep problems.
What is the best treatment for permanent hair reduction?
SHR PAIN FREE HAIR REDUCTION
Permanent Hair Reduction using SHR/IPL, all your questions answered
Q & A.
What is this new SHR?
It stands for Super Hair Removal.
It's the very latest Technology in permanent hair reduction. It's faster, has more power, gives better results and it's pain FREE.
The SHR machine delivers. It goes 950nm deep, it goes deeper than a CO2 Laser Machine.
What makes it so much better than the other machines?
It uses high pulse repetition rates at low energy levels, together with high power. Instead of simply blasting unwanted hair, it heats the hair follicle very gradually. It uses IN- Motion Technology, which is a rolling technique that eliminates the common problem of missed or skipped spots. The new IN- Motion Technology combines concurrent cooling with a gradual thermal rise to the target temperature without any risk of injury or pain.
The SHR heat targets the pigment and melanin located in the hair follicles where the flashes of light disable the targeted hair follicle, causing the unwanted hair to fall out and preventing future growth.
Since hair growth cycles are not synchronised, several treatment sessions are needed to treat the dormant follicles.
A minimum of 6 treatments are recommended.
Spaced 4-6 weeks apart for best results.
The main thing is to make sure that:
1. You have stopped all waxing, epilation ect for a period of 4 weeks before your first appointment. That's to ensure we get the hair root as that is what we target to stop it from growing again.
2. Shave the area to be treated prior to your appointment. I recommend you start a couple of days before and shave a few times to make sure your getting all the hairs. It's ok to shave on the day of your treatment but if you have sensitive skin it is best to do it the night before.
*Proper shaving is essential, if there is Hair present that is what will be targeted instead of the root.
3. Don't use any perfumed products, moisturisers or deodorants on the area to be treated.
And lastly if you have a tattoo on the area being treated please cover it up with a plaster or sticky pad.
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Have a great day

What Is Dermaplaning, and Should You Get This Treatment?
What Is Dermaplaning, and Should You Get This Treatment?
This exfoliating treatment is very popular at the moment, so here’s what you need to know.
You have layers of dead skin cells sitting on your face, contributing to skin issues such as dullness, wrinkles, spots, all totally natural, but annoying, and luckily you have heaps of options to get rid of them. One of the most popular treatments being dermaplaning.
You’ve probably heard of dermaplaning before, or seen some crazy videos on it, but if you’re still in the “wait, what is that?” camp, here’s the breakdown: Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that involves the therapist gently scraping the surface of your skin with a surgical scalpel to remove dead skin and peach fuzz. So, basically, it’s like shaving your face.
It does sound very odd, unusual and a bit painful, but people are loving the results. It gets rid of the facial hair leaving your skin very smooth and soft, you will use about a third less if your products and your make-up will sit beautifully.
No wonder it is so popular. But what are the pros and cons?
What are the side effects of dermaplaning?
In the hands of a professional, dermaplaning is safe for all skin types, especially those with sun damage, fine lines, dry patches, and dull skin. But, of course, there are caveats: If you have sensitive skin (like those with rosacea or keratosis pilaris), you may want to pass on this one, since it might irritate your skin. Same goes for anyone with active inflamed acne, as when acne is active we want to calm it not inflame it more, that’s why we always advise you on the day what the right treatment is for you.
Will dermaplaning cause breakouts?
Quite the opposite, actually. A buildup of dead skin can clog your pores and hair follicles, which can not only cause pimples but also block your skincare products from penetrating the skin, which is why exfoliation is essential for maintaining an even, healthy glow. But, as we said, if you already have an existing breakout, you’ll unfortunately need to sit this treatment out.
Who should I see for my dermaplaning treatment?
Don’t trust just anyone to perform the procedure, and please do not try this at home. Dermaplaning is performed using a surgical scalpel so leavi it to a professional therapist.
How much will a dermaplaning treatment cost?
You can expect to spend from $95 to $250 per treatment, but you’ll notice a difference in your skin’s texture and tone immediately, so at least you know it’s worth the price. Some therapist like to add in masks or light therapy to the treatment but most give you the option of adding them on. At Sole Revival the dermaplaning is $95, if you wish to you add on a hydrating mask and an led at $40 each.
Does dermaplaning hurt?
It is not actually painful at all. Think of it like shaving any other part of your body. Can you feel it? Yes. Does it hurt? Not if you’re doing it right.
Is there any downtime after a dermaplaning treatment?
Some light redness can be expected but not always. “It’s perfectly fine and common to make an appointment during lunch and go right back to work after your treatment.
Can you wear makeup after dermaplaning?
You can but it’s best to just do a light cover recover cream and let your skin relax for a bit, as your skin barrier is more open and more prone to irritation a few hours rest will benefit it.
Will shaving my face make my hair grow back thicker?
This is a myth, dermaplaneing will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. Once your hair begins to grow back, it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s actually the same texture as it was before and it will grow at the same speed.
How often do I need dermaplaning treatments?
Since this is a deeply exfoliating treatment, Ed recommend waiting at least a month between appointments, although some clients with rapid growth can go a bit sooner whereas those that are more sensitive can leave it much longer even scheduling it to once a every three months.
Will dermaplaning make my skin more sensitive to the sun?
As with any exfoliation treatment, your skin will be more susceptible to the sun, so you don’t want to be hitting the beach or lounging at the pool after having it done. The best thing you can do for yourself, always, every day, is to be diligent with your sunscreen, wear it daily, and make sure it is at least SPF 30+.
So to recap on the benefits of dermaplaneing:
•improved skin texture and tone,
•allowing deeper penetration of skincare products,
•reduced the appearance of fine lines,

I want the best facial, one that will make me look younger.
Welcome to the desk of Sole Revival
I’ve lost count of the amount of times that someone has said, so and so says that the products she is using are amazing! Honestly, don’t fall for it, your unique, what works for them could be disastrous for you. One-size-fits-all definitely does not apply to skincare. That’s why I make my one-on-one consultations ridiculously cheap at $50.
I want you to make informed decisions about what’s right for you and what will deliver the results your looking for.
In the salon our aim is to create a space that’s a little oasis of calm and tranquility, online we want to help you sift through the hype from the real, where we can discuss whatever we want to know more about.
Being a rejuvenating therapist, I see a lot of faces who want to turn back time and also a lot of people who Just want to age well. Personally, I think the ones who get regular facials look way more beautiful than the Botox gals, they may not have any wrinkles but their skin is shit. Open pores, uneven skin tone, pigmentation. On the one hand, I absolutely support the right to do whatever works for you, without judgement, On the other hand I’ve seen some Botox horror results, that would put the fear of god into you, at the end of the day it’s botulism and that’s a muscle freezer that your liver and kidneys are going to have to filter. (My liver has enough to filter)
I can see why people are so tempted to take the quick fix, I just think the Botox brigade look odd, I prefer your Audrey Hepburn’s and Helen Mirren’s. I'd love to see society’s perception of ageing shifting, especially for woman. Woman in general do the bulk of the child rearing, domestic stuff and they are conditioned to keep looking young. Social media is great but it also puts a lot of pressure on people to always be at their best.
Now don’t be shocked, but now that I’m racing toward 60 ( how the hell did that happen?) my attitude towards injectables has changed. ill never get it, I just won’t risk it, but I think everyone should decide what is right for them, there should not be any judgement. So If you do choose injectables, you should do a lot of research on the clinic and therapist that will be performing the treatment; have a consultation and make sure you feel totally comfortable with what you are going to have, that’s my advice. And be prepared to never being able to give them up. Once you start down that road you have to get them regularly, or your face just falls.
We all have our own insecurities, be it wrinkles, skin tone, pigmentation, whatever, and for that reason I would advise you to spend your money on regular treatments with a qualified dermal therapist who will take care of all your skins needs on an ongoing basis. It’s better to take care of the collagen, the skin tone, the elasticity and the integrity of your skin. ( I.e. me, just saying😂)
At the end of the day, life is for living, it’s a celebration and a privilege, enjoy the journey and be comfortable in your own skin. So what if I have crow’s feet, isn’t it time to positively change our perception of age and encourage a future when we can look forward to it.
So if your in the area of Winthrop, Perth and want younger looking skin then book in for a facial at Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic

Anti aging facial
What is the best anti-aging Facial ? skin needling or radio frequency?
What is the best anti aging treatment available?
Without a doubt the Skin Needling and the Radio Frequency non-surgical Facelift are both excellent. But if the thought of needling your skin is just too much for you opt for the RF.
As we get older our muscles shrink causing surrounding fat and tissue to take on a 'drooping' appearance. When facial muscles begin to shrink the shape of the face itself changes and can be very ageing. Unlike other treatments on the market, the 'Radio Frequency treatment works at the deeper level of the muscle, not simply at the surface level of the skin. By rebuilding the underlying muscle mass which supports the skin layer, the face itself becomes 'lifted'. Fine lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin then become reduced or eliminated. The radio frequency treatment also stimulates the body's natural production of collagen and elastin, further enhancing skin tissue and accentuating a more youthful appearance.
The radio frequency facelifting treatment is a natural way to exercise facial muscles which unlike the body are particularly difficult to exercise effectively even with extensive manual manipulation. Originally developed for those suffering from Bells Palsy and Strokes it was discovered that when the treatment was applied to the 'drooping' side of the face that it actually lifted higher than the unaffected side. The results can be remarkable. For 24-48 hours after a treatment the muscles continue to work and regenerate themselves.
The best facial for wrinkles
How to get good skin.
Stop buying products that you don’t know anything about, do you know what’s in them, where they are from and what they will do to your skin? and stop listening to every man and his dog about what’s best.
There’s a big difference between someone telling you there Skin is amazing because of A, B or C, and getting a proper consultation from a trained professional. Everyone’s skin is different, what’s right for them may not be right for you and you can do more damage than good.
When a skincare professional gives you advice on your skin they are looking at what YOUR skin cells need for it to operate the way it should. When you see skin issues it because the cellar function is not getting fed the right ingredients.
More is not always best and that is especially true when using products that have actives in them. Too high a potency or used too often can leave your skin seriously compromised. Good skincare and professional treatments are not expensive, but repairing damage is.
The number one thing you can do for yourself is to start by understanding that you are unique and if you are trying to achieve results with your skin, stop playing Russian roulette with treatments and products. Get a proper consultation from a trained professional who understands what the ingredients in the products are and how they will interact with YOUR skin.

I’m now based in Perth, Australia and I’ve enjoyed further training and collaboration with some great companies to fine tune my dermal clinician skills.
Many of the clients simply book in a time each month, in that time that’s allocated to them we do the treatment that’s best suited for them. We offer 30, 60 or 90 minute appointments, which can be booked online. 🏠.
I encourage my clients to see me as no different from the maintenance they do on their homes or their cars, we wouldn’t fail to maintain them, and to be regularly servicing and repairing them.

Jules Founder
Jules I’Driscoll founder and head therapist owner of Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic in Winthrop talks about how she got started in the industry, hurdles she’s had to face, being an entrepreneur.
“After moving to Perth, WA, I couldn’t find a job ( Jules graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA Hons in Complementary Healthcare, specialising in reflexology), so I enrolled in a small business course and created my own job as a mobile therapist.
For the first year, Sole Revival provided therapeutic massage, aromatherapy massage and reflexology as well as pamper party bookings for groups of girls getting together for a catch up and enjoying some well deserved treatments. “ that was my daughters idea, those pamper parties, she was such an amazing supportive person for me.”
“It was good fun and I enjoyed it”. But as Jules success grew within that first year, it became apparent she would be better off renting premises. Which she did, inside a hair salon in Mt Pleasant. One of the most popular treatments asked for was the Accupressure facial, and not because of its health benefits but because it made people look so good. So began Sole Revivals journey into providing customised beauty treatments.
“I started out looking to give my clients the very best treatments available that would improve their skin and help them to look and feel great. I soon discovered I had a passion for it and I loved seeing their reactions when they looked in the mirror, it made my day” she says.
Sole Revival is unique because of Jules technique and background. She offers custom exclusive treatments that are tailor made for the individual. Her products are natural, organic, vegan and cruelty free. She has twice been nominated for the Telstra woman’s business awards and had decided that this year she will enter”
“I love the difference I make, you don’t just clear up their acne, or reduce their scarring or eliminate those wrinkles, you rejuvenate them, you watch them blossom in front of your eyes”.
Sole Revival soon grew out of their space in Mt Pleasant and Jules redesigned her Winthrop house by turning it in to rooms that clients could enjoy visiting, she likes to have them step through door and feel instantly relaxed, she has created a spacious treatment room, a reception area and a chill out zone, where you can relax, have a herbal tea, read a book or have a seat in the massage chair whilst you wait.
Jules say’s “ the business just kept on growing and I kept on adding the latest technology and up-skilling.”
Herbs For Glowing And Beautiful Skin
Herbs For Glowing And Beautiful Skin
With the rise of the cosmetic industry, we’re exposed to a variety of skin-care products that claim to solve all our beauty woes. However, thanks to the toxic elements they carry, these products are not always safe. Fortunately, there is an alternative to these synthetic and artificial products. Practitioners of ayurveda swear by herbal and natural methods of skin care. These herbs promise a smooth and supple skin, natural radiance, and an escape from most of the skin maladies.
Aloe Vera
This medicinal plant has been revered by beauticians for its skin benefits. Aloe vera gel, which is the freshly extracted juice from the aloe vera plant, evens your skin tone and enhances your complexion. It also flushes out the toxins in your skin and prevents acne.
Extract 10–20ml gel from an aloe vera leaf. Massage it to your face and wash it off after 15 minutes.
Saffron
Mix saffron in water and apply the paste to your face. Wash after 15 minutes. Use no more than half to one gram of saffron.
By purifying your blood and removing blemishes, saffron can make your skin glow. It also moisturizes the skin and rejuvenates dry skin. Additionally, saffron can protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun and fight photodamage.
