Dermaplaning everything you need to know.
Dermaplaning reveals what’s underneath: smoother, brighter, more refined skin.
By gently removing buildup and peach fuzz, this treatment helps improve texture, soften the look of fine lines, and refine pores too.
This reveals what’s underneath: smoother, brighter, more refined skin.
With dermaplaning, results come from technique—not force. Applying too much pressure can irritate the skin, compromise the barrier, and increase the risk of nicks or sensitivity.
Effective exfoliation relies on light, controlled strokes that gently remove vellus hair and surface buildup without stressing the skin.
This is where proper blade control matters. Correct angle, steady hand positioning, and consistent pressure allow the blade to glide smoothly and work with the skin, not against it.
Dermaplanning vs Shaving: What’s the Difference?
Dermaplaning
1️⃣ Removes vellus hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin
2️⃣ Exfoliates and smooths skin texture
3️⃣ Enhances product absorption
4️⃣ Performed by trained professionals for precise, safe results
Shaving
1️⃣ Removes terminal hair (like beard or body hair)
2️⃣ Provides minimal, non-intentional exfoliation
3️⃣ Results focus on hair removal
For a smoother, more radiant complexion, dermaplaning goes beyond just hair removal.
Post-Dermapen 4™ Skin Needling Aftercare
Post-Dermapen 4™ Aftercare
Why Dermaceuticals® Tri-Phase Cleanser & Vitamin Rich Repair Are Non-Negotiable
After a Dermapen 4™ treatment, your skin is not behaving like normal skin.
For up to 72 hours, the micro-channels created during needling place the skin into a controlled wound-healing response. During this time, the barrier is intentionally compromised to stimulate collagen, elastin, and cellular regeneration.
This is where product choice becomes critical.
Dermapen World is very clear:
👉 What you apply post-treatment can either enhance results — or interfere with the healing cascade.
The Science Behind Dermaceuticals® After Dermapen
Dermaceuticals® are formulated and tested specifically for use alongside Dermapen 4™.
They are not “gentle skincare” — they are cosmeceutical wound-repair formulations designed for post-procedural skin.
Why I Will Not Recommend Any Other Products
During the post-needling window:
• The skin’s immune response is heightened
• Penetration is significantly increased
• Ingredients that are normally tolerated can trigger inflammation, pigment activation, or barrier disruption
Many retail or “natural” products contain:
– Essential oils
– Fragrance
– Preservatives not designed for open channels
– Actives at unsafe concentrations post-procedure
These can undo the work we’ve just done.
This is why Dermapen World protocols specify Dermaceuticals only.
Tri-Phase Cleanser™
Cleansing Without Interfering With Healing
Immediately post-Dermapen, the skin needs to be cleansed without stripping lipids or disrupting cytokine signalling.
Tri-Phase Cleanser™ works in three stages:
1️⃣ Oil phase dissolves debris and impurities without friction
2️⃣ Milk phase calms inflammation and supports barrier repair
3️⃣ Water phase gently cleanses without altering pH
🧬 Why this matters scientifically
• Maintains optimal pH for keratinocyte migration
• Prevents excessive TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss)
• Protects the acid mantle while micro-channels close
This cleanser does not interrupt the inflammatory-to-proliferative phase of healing — which is essential for collagen stimulation.
Vitamin Rich Repair™
Feeding the Skin What It Needs to Rebuild
After needling, the skin’s demand for nutrients increases dramatically.
Vitamin Rich Repair™ is not a moisturiser in the traditional sense.
It is a cellular repair cream.
Key actions:
🧬 B-vitamins support DNA synthesis and cellular turnover
🧬 Vitamin E reduces oxidative stress post-procedure
🧬 Panthenol enhances fibroblast activity and wound repair
🧬 Shea butter & lipids restore barrier function without occlusion
Crucially, this formulation:
✔️ Does not heat the skin
✔️ Does not overstimulate melanocytes
✔️ Does not disrupt inflammatory signalling
It allows the skin to heal efficiently, calmly, and predictably.
The Bottom Line (Straight From Dermapen World)
Dermapen 4™ is a medical-grade device.
Its outcomes depend not only on the treatment — but on what you put on your skin afterwards.
Using products outside the Dermapen-approved range introduces uncontrolled variables.
That’s why:
👉 I only recommend Dermaceuticals® Tri-Phase Cleanser and Vitamin Rich Repair post-treatment
👉 This is about protecting your results, not selling skincare
👉 Your skin is temporarily in a clinical healing state, not a cosmetic one
My priority is skin integrity, safety, and long-term results.

Dermaplanning
Dermaplaning: The Gentle Reset Your Skin Didn’t Know It Needed
At Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic, I often describe dermaplaning as the quiet achiever of skin treatments.
No machines. No downtime. No drama.
Just smooth, bright, refined skin in a single session.
It’s one of the most requested treatments for clients who want an instant glow without irritation, especially those with darker or sensitive skin types who can’t tolerate aggressive exfoliation. If you love makeup that sits beautifully, skin that looks ultra-fresh, and a treatment that feels relaxing rather than clinical — this is for you.
What Exactly Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation that uses a sterile surgical blade to gently remove:
dead skin cells
surface congestion
peach fuzz (vellus hair)
environmental buildup that dulls the complexion
It’s not painful. It’s not harsh. And it’s incredibly effective at giving the skin a clean, soft, radiant finish.
For many clients, this becomes a monthly essential because the results speak for themselves: instant smoothness, clean reflection, and skincare that finally penetrates the way it should.
Who Is Dermaplaning Best For?
Dermaplaning works beautifully for most skin types, including:
dull, uneven, or textured skin
congestion caused by surface build-up
ageing skin lacking luminosity
darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) needing a non-inflammatory exfoliation
sensitive or reactive skin
clients prepping for a special event
It’s especially popular with clients who want their foundation to glide on or who need a fresh, “camera-ready” complexion.
Will the Hair Grow Back Thicker?
A common concern — and the answer is a confident no.
Dermaplaning only removes vellus hairs, which are genetically programmed to grow back soft and fine.
Professional Dermaplaning vs DIY Tools
There is a huge difference.
Professional dermaplaning uses a sterile #10 surgical blade and controlled, trained technique.
At-home tools cannot achieve the same smoothness and carry risk of:
micro-tears
infections
scarring
uneven exfoliation
The professional version is safer, deeper, and far more effective.
The Sole Revival Dermaplaning Experience
My focus is always on gentle precision and restoring balance to the skin.
Every dermaplaning facial at Sole Revival includes:
a sensory cleanse
professional-grade dermaplaning
a fruit enzyme treatment to refine and brighten
a hydrating V8 Peptide Mask to repair the barrier
LED if needed for extra glow
finishing serums matched to your skin’s needs
This isn’t a quick in-and-out treatment.
It’s skin science blended with calm.
Benefits You’ll See Immediately
Brighter, clearer skin
Softer texture
Makeup sits flawlessly
A reduction in surface congestion
A luminous, clean finish
Better absorption of serums
A smoother complexion for weeks
How Often Should You Have It?
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal to maintain the results
Dermaplaning + Other Treatments
It pairs beautifully with:
enzyme therapy
LED
Ayurvedic facials
pre-event treatments
nano-infusion / skin needling (depending on skin condition)
Is Dermaplaning Right For You?
If you’re looking for a treatment that is:
✔ gentle
✔ non-invasive
✔ instantly rewarding
✔ perfect for sensitive or darker skins
✔ ideal before makeup
…then dermaplaning may be your new favourite ritual.

The Art of Beauty: A Story Older Than History
The Art of Beauty: A Story Older Than History
When most people talk about the “origins” of facials, they point to Ancient Egypt.
And while Egypt left us some of the earliest written skincare records, the real story is far bigger — and far more beautiful.
Across human history, long before beauty was commercialised, cultures all over the world developed rituals of cleansing, renewal and self-care, without any knowledge of each other.
Skincare wasn’t invented.
It emerged, instinctively, everywhere.
Ancient Egypt: One Voice in a Global Origin Story
The Egyptians documented everything — so we know they used clays, botanical oils, honey, salts, milks and herbal pastes to purify, soften and restore the skin.
But what they practised wasn’t about vanity.
It was about balance, health, ritual and spiritual renewal.
Their masks and oils were medicine.
Their facials were protection from sun, stress, dust and daily life.
Their beauty was functional and deeply connected to wellbeing.
Yet Egypt was just one thread.
India: Ayurveda — Possibly Even Older
While Egyptian records are some of the oldest written texts, Ayurvedic practices may predate them in oral tradition.
Ayurveda has always understood the skin as an organ of digestion, energy, circulation and emotion.
Ayurvedic facials included:
• herbal pastes
• steaming
• oil massage
• exfoliation with lentils and roots
• pressure point therapy
• nervous system support
This is essentially what we now call holistic skin therapy.
Mesopotamia: Beauty at the Dawn of Civilisation
In the region of modern Iraq, women used clays, minerals, fats and botanicals around 3000–2000 BCE, the same era as Egypt.
Their rituals were for cleansing, protection and health — not appearance.
China: The First Evidence of Facial Massage Tools
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, jade rollers, herbal masks, gua sha and facial massage are recorded as early as the Zhou Dynasty (1046 BCE).
TCM taught that the face mirrors the internal organs and emotional state — a belief perfectly aligned with my Art of Beauty philosophy.
Greece & Rome: Science Meets Ritual
Later came Greek and Roman beauty practices:
• masks
• scrubs
• oils
• massage
• early dermatological teachings
Their approach blended philosophy, observation and medicinal care.
A Universal Human Instinct
When you look at all these cultures together — Egypt, India, Mesopotamia, China, Greece, Rome — a pattern becomes clear:
Wherever humans lived, they instinctively created rituals for cleansing, balance, beauty and renewal.
Not one origin.
Many origins.
A shared human instinct to care for the body, settle the mind and honour the skin.
This is the lineage Sole Revival truly belongs to.
And Then — Reflexology Appears
At first, reflexology seems like a different world.
But just like skincare, it appears across multiple ancient cultures:
• Egypt
• China
• India
• Native American traditions
Each discovered, in their own way, that the feet reflect the whole body — just as the face does.
Reflexology was never just a therapy.
It was a map of the human condition.
How All These Threads Led to Sole Revival
Before Sole Revival existed, I trained in reflexology — a therapy that taught me to listen to the body, to notice patterns, and to feel where stress lives.
Then, during my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Complementary Healthcare, the truth became impossible to ignore:
Everything these ancient cultures believed was right.
The systems are not separate.
The mind, skin, body, digestion, sleep, energy, emotions and nervous system are one ecosystem.
This understanding shaped every part of how Sole Revival was created.
The Art of Beauty: The Return to What Humans Always Knew
Sole Revival is not a beauty clinic in the modern sense.
It is a return to a lineage as old as civilisation.
Your treatment philosophy blends:
✨ Ancient ritual
✨ Modern skin science
✨ Reflexology
✨ Ayurvedic understanding
✨ Complementary healthcare
✨ Nervous system support
✨ Clinical results
✨ Deep presence
✨ Real human connection
Because beauty was never just visual.
It has always been physiological, emotional, energetic and deeply human.
Full Circle
Facials didn’t begin in Egypt — or India — or China.
They began everywhere.
Because humans intuitively knew:
When we care for the body, we calm the mind.
When we calm the mind, the skin responds.
When the skin is supported, the whole person feels more grounded.
This is the essence of The Art of Beauty at Sole Revival
a practice that honours thousands of years of wisdom and brings it into the present with clinical skill, compassion and intention.
Reflexology & The Lymphatic System
Reflexology & The Lymphatic System
A Clinical–Holistic Understanding of Lymph Flow Through the Feet
By Jules O’Driscoll BA Hons Complementary Healthcare
Reflexology Practitioner & Founder — Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic, Perth
The lymphatic system is one of the body’s most intelligent foundations for health — continuously filtering waste, regulating immunity, and supporting cellular renewal. When lymph becomes sluggish, the body’s natural repair mechanisms slow, energy dips, and inflammation rises.
Reflexology, when performed with lymphatic precision, goes beyond relaxation.
It becomes a therapeutic catalyst for internal balance — prompting the nervous, hormonal, and circulatory systems to re-sync, and encouraging lymph to move with greater clarity and ease.
Below is a simplified guide to how reflexology supports lymphatic function across key body systems — bridging traditional knowledge with modern physiological understanding.
🧠 Nervous System — Creating the Conditions for Flow
Reflex point stimulation activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the body’s rest–restore mode).
This reduces stress chemistry, supports vagal tone, and encourages the rhythmic contractions of lymph vessels.
Simply put: calm nervous system = improved lymph movement.
❤️ Circulation & Microvascular Support
Reflexology encourages peripheral circulation and venous return — easing fluid congestion and supporting the gentle pressure gradient required for lymph to re-enter circulation.
Result: enhanced oxygenation, lighter limbs, and improved fluid balance.
🌬️ Respiratory System — Breath-Led Lymph Pumping
The diaphragm is one of the body’s most effective lymphatic pumps.
Reflex stimulation linked to respiratory zones supports deeper, more rhythmic breathing — amplifying thoracic lymph flow.
Every steady breath becomes part of the detox process.
🧘♀️ Endocrine Regulation — Hormones & Immune Chemistry
Balanced endocrine function helps regulate inflammation, immune signalling, and tissue fluid balance. Reflexology supports parasympathetic hormonal balance and stress reduction — both essential for lymphatic ease.
Hormonal harmony supports healthy lymph.
🍃 Digestive & Gut-Lymph Connection
Around 70% of the immune system resides in the gut. Reflexology can help improve digestive motility and support detox pathways — easing load on mesenteric lymph nodes.
Healthy digestion equals clearer internal pathways.
💧 Kidney & Urinary Support
Reflex points linked to filtration organs support the body’s natural detox and fluid-balancing processes — easing the workload on the lymphatic system.
When the kidneys move efficiently, lymph flows more freely.
🛡️ Immune Nodes & Detox Junctions
Reflexology encourages gentle stimulation of regions associated with lymph nodes — supporting immune cell movement and congestion relief.
A soft touch that supports immune intelligence.
💪 Muscles, Fascia & Lymph Movement
Fascia houses lymph channels. Reflexology helps soften tension, allowing fluid to move where the body needs it.
Where the fascia softens, lymph follows.
💚 Liver & Whole-Body Detox
The liver processes much of the body’s lymphatic waste. Reflexology supports balance in the gut–liver axis, assisting natural detoxification pathways.
A supported liver means a supported lymphatic system.
🌸 Emotional Flow & Regulation
Stress and emotional holding patterns can impact lymph movement.
Reflexology promotes deep rest — allowing stored tension to soften and energy to shift.
When we calm the body, we create space for release and renewal.
🌿 The Sole Revival Perspective
Reflexology isn’t simply foot work —
it is nervous-system support, detox alignment, and emotional reconnection through clinical touch.
By combining integrative complementary healthcare, modern lymphatic understanding, and grounded therapeutic practice, reflexology becomes a gentle yet powerful pathway to whole-body wellbeing and clarity — from the inside out.
When we support the feet, we support the entire internal terrain.

How Often Should You Get a Facial?
How Often Should You Get a Facial?
At Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic, this is one of the most common questions we hear, and for good reason. With so many different skin types, treatments, and goals, it’s not always straightforward to know how often your skin really needs professional support.
The simple answer? For most people, a facial every 4 to 6 weeks is ideal. This timing isn’t random, it’s linked to your skin’s own biology.
The Science Behind Facial Timing
Your skin naturally renews itself through cellular turnover, a process where old, dull skin cells are shed and replaced by fresh new ones. This cycle is typically around 28 days in young adults, but it slows down with age, stretching to 6–8 weeks or more in mature skin.
Facials help to:
Gently remove the build-up of dead cells.
Stimulate microcirculation, oxygenation and collagen.
Boost hydration and barrier repair.
Support healthy skin function long term.
That’s why timing your treatments with your skin’s renewal cycle ensures maximum benefit.
Different Needs for Different Skin
Students and younger skin – If you’re under 25 with generally healthy skin, you may only need a professional facial every 6 to 8 weeks. This helps maintain balance without overstimulating skin that is already renewing at a faster rate.
Acne-prone skin – More regular facials (possibly every 2–4 weeks) can support deeper cleansing, oil control, and targeted treatment of breakouts.
Mature or sun-damaged skin – Skin renewal slows, so a 4–6 week cycle helps maintain glow, reduce roughness, and keep collagen stimulated.
Advanced Treatments & Special Occasions
Sometimes, a single facial isn’t enough, particularly if you’re working towards a major life event or tackling a specific skin concern.
Wedding or special event, Work backwards from the big day. For best results, start a 6- 12 month skin plan, spacing advanced facials to build up radiance, smoothness and hydration gradually, with no last minute surprises.
Skin conditions – For pigmentation, scarring or significant sun damage, you’ll often need a series of advanced treatments, spaced appropriately for skin recovery.
Example: Skin needling with exosomes can remodel damaged skin in as little as 12 weeks with the right treatment plan.
Maintenance phase – Once your skin concern has been addressed, we move into a sustainable schedule that supports long-term results.
Your Facial Schedule is Personal
There’s no one-size-fits-all rule. The right frequency depends on your skin type, age, lifestyle, and goals. A student’s skin has different needs to a bride-to-be, and an acne treatment plan is very different from age management or sun damaged skin health.
At Sole Revival, we look at the whole picture: your skin biology, your lifestyle, and your goals, to create a rhythm of facials that truly support you.
✨ Healthy, glowing skin isn’t about a single facial, it’s about consistent care, timed to your skin’s natural rhythm.
Facials: Ancient Medicine, Modern Self-Care
Today, modern science confirms what the ancients already knew: the mind, body, and spirit are deeply connected. The brain, endocrine, immune, and nervous systems constantly communicate with each other — meaning that when we care for the skin, we are influencing far more than appearance.
✨ The Science Behind Touch & Skin Health
The nervous system: Gentle facial massage stimulates the vagus nerve, which lowers stress hormones and activates the parasympathetic “rest and repair” response.
The endocrine system: Relaxation through touch reduces cortisol (the stress hormone) and balances other hormones that influence skin health.
The immune system: Studies show that stress reduction improves immune resilience, supporting the skin’s ability to heal and protect itself.
The skin-brain connection: Skin cells and brain cells share the same embryonic origin. What soothes the skin can calm the mind, and what calms the mind can visibly improve the skin.
✨ Facials as Medicine for Modern Life
A well-designed facial is more than a luxury. It supports circulation, lymphatic drainage, and cell repair while calming the nervous system. This is why many clients feel clearer, lighter, and more centred after a treatment, not just refreshed in appearance.
At Sole Revival, we honour facials as a form of holistic self-care. They are time-tested rituals backed by science, designed to support not just your skin but your whole being.
📍 Experience facials the way they were meant to be, a powerful part of health, balance, and renewal.
When Will You Start Seeing Results from Your Customised Skincare Routine?
🌿 When Will You Start Seeing Results from Your Customised Skincare Routine?
One of the most common questions we’re asked in clinic is:
“How long before I see results?”
The truth is, your skin is a living organ with its own rhythm. Real change doesn’t happen overnight — it happens as your skin renews and repairs itself.
✨ Skin cycle 101
On average, a skin cycle (the time it takes for new cells to rise to the surface) is around 28–40 days in younger skin, and can be closer to 6–12 weeks in more mature skin. This is why we always say: consistency is everything.
✨ When to expect results with customised actives
Vitamin C: Brightening and antioxidant protection. You may notice a glow within 2–4 weeks, but deeper results (fewer dark spots, stronger skin) build over 3+ months.
AHAs (glycolic, lactic, mandelic): Work on tone, pores and texture. Most people see smoother skin in 2–6 weeks, with progressive clarity over 3 months.
Retinol / Vitamin A: The gold standard for ageing support. Expect to see refinement and firmness from 8–12 weeks, with real transformation at the 6–12 month mark.
✨ Why customised matters
Your skin isn’t like anyone else’s. That’s why at Sole Revival, we build your plan around your cycles, your goals, and your tolerance — adjusting actives so they’re effective, but never aggressive.
✅ Takeaway: Think in months, not days.
The best results come when you stay the course, trust the process, and support your skin from the inside out.

Is it worth the money, to buy more expensive professional skincare?
Why professional skincare costs more, explained simply
Not all moisturisers are created equal. Cheaper creams can hydrate, but professional formulas are different: higher concentrations of proven actives, smarter delivery systems, clinical testing and professional guidance.
Think of it as investing in lasting skin health, not a quick fix.
There is a big difference between a pleasant, inexpensive moisturiser and a professional skincare product, and that difference is what you’re paying for.
A bargain cream can feel lovely on the skin and give instant, short-term hydration.
But professional, clinic-grade products are formulated to do more than feel nice: they contain higher, carefully measured concentrations of active ingredients, use advanced delivery systems so those ingredients reach the layers of skin where they work, and are stabilised and tested to maintain efficacy over time.
What you get when you invest in professional skincare:
Stronger, proven actives, higher quality hyaluronic acids, antioxidants, peptides and retinoids in concentrations that actually produce visible results.
Smart formulation, encapsulation, multi-molecular weight ingredients and carrier systems designed to help actives penetrate and perform.
Better stability & purity, fewer questionable fillers, controlled preservative systems and manufacturing standards that reduce impurities.
Clinical testing & visible outcomes, many professional lines invest in clinical trials and performance testing; results build over time.
Personalised support, when you buy in clinic from me, you get professional recommendations, advice on how and when to use it, which is tailored to your skin ( not generic) and follow-up so your routine actually works for your skin, reducing wasted products and disappointment, and even possibly damage to your skin.
We know when to transition you into other products, strengths, and what will give you the benefits your skin needs.
If your goal is to address texture, pigmentation, thinning, rosacea or accelerated ageing, or to strengthen a compromised barrier, professional skincare is an investment that delivers targeted, cumulative benefits
No hard sell, just good skin that improves with time and the right support.
If you’d like, I can recommend a simple, effective routine tailored to your skin goals and budget.
Warmly,

Why Dermapen 4 + Exosomes Is Our Best Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Yet
The science behind the treatment, what makes it superior, and the results you can expect.
In the ever-evolving world of aesthetic skin care, it’s rare to find a treatment that deserves the label “best”, but our Dermapen 4 + Exosome therapy is one of them. At [Your Clinic Name], we only work with proven science, trusted devices, and ethically-formulated actives. This combination is why more clients are turning to us for visible, lasting transformation rather than temporary fixes.
What are Exosomes, and Why They Matter
Exosomes are nano-vesicles naturally produced by human cells. They carry growth factors, proteins, lipids, messenger RNAs (mRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs) that act as messengers between cells.
Unlike full stem cell treatments, exosomes do not contain DNA and are non-cellular, which lowers risk and ethical concerns.
DermapenWorld’s exosome technology (HLA-G COMPLEXA™) is immune-tolerant, meaning it helps avoid the immune resistance or plateau effect some treatments experience over time.
Why Dermapen 4 + Exosomes Is A Superior Combination

Exosomes in Skin Needling: The Next Generation of Skin Rejuvenation
Exosomes in Skin Needling: The Next Generation of Skin Rejuvenation
By Jules O’Driscoll BA Hons Complementary Healthcare
At Sole Revival Skin & Body Clinic, we believe in treatments that don’t just mask the signs of ageing but work at the root cause of skin decline.
One of the most exciting breakthroughs in regenerative aesthetics is exosome therapy — especially when paired with skin needling (microneedling). Often described as the next generation of skin treatments, exosomes are transforming how we approach skin repair, rejuvenation, and long-term skin health.
What Are Exosomes?
To understand exosomes, imagine them as your body’s natural postal service. Each exosome is a tiny “messenger package” carrying vital information between cells. Inside these microscopic vesicles are growth factors, proteins, lipids, and genetic material that tell your skin cells how to repair, regenerate, and thrive.
In simple terms, exosomes are the body’s own communication system, ensuring that cells stay healthy, youthful, and functional. When used in advanced skin treatments, they supercharge the skin’s natural renewal process.
How Do Exosomes Work in Skincare?
When applied topically or infused during skin needling, exosomes act as powerful cellular messengers. They deliver their “cargo” deep into the skin, helping to:
• Stimulate collagen and elastin production.
• Accelerate wound healing and tissue repair.
• Improve hydration by strengthening the skin barrier.
• Reduce pigmentation and even skin tone.
• Soften fine lines and wrinkles.
• Calm redness, sensitivity, and inflammation.
This makes them an ideal partner to microneedling, where the creation of microchannels in the skin allows exosomes to penetrate more effectively and work at a deeper level.
Why Combine Exosomes with Skin Needling?
Microneedling alone is already a results-driven treatment for skin rejuvenation — triggering the body’s repair response and boosting collagen. Adding exosomes takes this one step further, providing the skin with a direct infusion of regenerative messengers.
The result?
• Faster recovery times (healing is often quicker and more comfortable).
• Stronger clinical outcomes (firmer, smoother, and brighter skin).
• Visible improvements in texture, pores, scars, pigmentation, and signs of ageing within weeks.
Clients at Sole Revival typically notice:
• More hydrated, radiant skin in the first 1–2 weeks.
• Reduction in fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven texture within 2–4 weeks.
• Continued improvement in firmness and skin quality over several months.
Who Can Benefit from Exosome Therapy?
Exosomes are suitable for most adults who want to improve their skin’s health and appearance. They are especially effective for:
• Ageing skin with fine lines, wrinkles, or sagging.
• Sun-damaged or pigmented skin.
• Enlarged pores or uneven texture.
• Acne scars or post-inflammatory marks.
• Skin that is dull, dehydrated, or slow to heal.
While many experts recommend starting exosome treatments in your 30s (when collagen and natural repair slow down), they can benefit skin at any stage of adult life.
The Future of Exosomes in Aesthetics
The field of regenerative aesthetics is evolving rapidly, and exosomes are at the forefront. Many experts call them the biggest leap forward in skincare since retinol — but with the advantage of working at a cellular level rather than just on the surface.
At Sole Revival, we’ve been using exosomes with great success for over two years, and our clients consistently report faster healing, more radiant skin, and longer-lasting results when combined with skin needling.

✨ Why I Only Needled One Hand ✨
You know how I research and evaluate treatments, before I’ll ever bring them into the clinic? Well, here’s a little story. About 2 years ago, I decided to needle just one hand with Dermapen 4 skin needling and the highest-quality, scientifically tested exosomes. I wanted to see, firsthand, if the results were truly as impressive as the research says.
Fast forward 5 weeks ( the pic) … and the difference was undeniable. The treated hand looked smoother, plumper, more hydrated – like it had rolled back the years. The untreated hand? Let’s just say it made the results even clearer.
Why am I so particular about what I use? Because not all products and devices are created equal. Dermapen 4 is the original, gold standard in skin needling, the safest, with built-in anti-contamination technology that fakes simply don’t have. And exosomes? I only use DP recommended, they are well-researched, scientifically tested, and proven. Nothing enters Sole Revival unless it passes the strictest standards.
I was personally trained by Dr Andrew Christie, the world, leading trainer in Dermapen and exosome protocols. That means every treatment I offer you is backed by knowledge, precision, and the kind of expertise you can trust.
And that’s really what Sole Revival is built on: trust. Many of my clients are private people who don’t want fads or risks, they want safe, ethical, long-lasting results. My promise has always been people first, always.
I see my role as being both holistic and high-tech: using the latest innovations where they genuinely enhance your own body’s natural healing, while staying true to the principles of balance, care, and ethics. If it doesn’t make a real, lasting difference, it doesn’t come into my clinic.
So when you book a treatment here at SR, whether it’s skin needling, a non-surgical facelift, permanent hair reduction, or an laser treatment, you can be confident it’s the best of both worlds: science and soul, technology and trust.

Why Water Is Not Enough for Your Skin
Why Water Is Not Enough for Your Skin
We often hear the advice: “Drink more water if you want glowing skin.” While hydration is vital for overall health, the truth is that drinking water alone is not enough to keep your skin healthy, youthful, and radiant. Skin health is far more complex than simply topping up your water bottle.
Water and Skin: The Inside Story
When you drink water, it enters your digestive system, is absorbed into the bloodstream, and distributed to vital organs. Your body is smart — it prioritises where that water is needed most: the brain, heart, kidneys, and other essential systems. By the time water reaches the skin, it’s had a long journey and only a fraction contributes to visible hydration on the surface.
That’s why someone can drink litres of water daily and still struggle with dryness, dullness, or fine lines. True skin hydration relies not just on water intake, but also on the skin barrier’s ability to hold on to moisture.
The Role of the Skin Barrier
Your skin has a protective outer layer called the lipid barrier. Think of it as a shield made of natural oils, ceramides, and proteins. Its job is to lock moisture in and keep irritants out. When this barrier is compromised — due to age, stress, harsh skincare, sun exposure, or lifestyle — the skin can’t retain hydration effectively. Even if you drink enough water, it simply escapes through what’s known as transepidermal water loss.
This is why topical hydration is just as important as internal hydration.
More Than Water: What Skin Needs
Healthy, radiant skin needs three key elements:
Water – yes, it matters, but it must be supported by other factors.
Humectants – ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and aloe that draw water into the skin.
Lipids – natural oils and ceramides that seal hydration in.
A good skincare routine nourishes all three. Without humectants and lipids, water alone will not plump, smooth, or strengthen the skin.
Lifestyle & Nutrition Factors
Water also needs allies from within. Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins (A, C, E, D), and a balanced diet all support the skin’s ability to stay hydrated and resist premature ageing. Alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods, on the other hand, dehydrate the skin and weaken its barrier function.
Professional Treatments Make the Difference
Advanced treatments take hydration to the next level. Skin needling, Ayurvedic facials, and radio-frequency therapies all stimulate collagen and improve the skin’s structure, meaning it can hold onto hydration more effectively. Professional-grade serums and facials infuse humectants and lipids directly into the skin, something water alone could never achieve.
The Bottom Line
Drinking water is essential for your body’s health — but if glowing, youthful skin is your goal, water is only one piece of the puzzle. For true skin hydration, you need to:
Support your skin barrier with quality skincare.
Use treatments that strengthen and repair at a deeper level.
Nourish your body with the right nutrients.
When inner hydration is matched with external care, that’s when your skin thrives — radiant, resilient, and truly healthy.

Cleanser full ingredients list & purpose:
GOAT MILK is rich in essential fatty acids and triglycerides. The essential fatty acids have a unique pH similar to humans, so it is less irritating and more easily absorbed by our skin. These fatty acids and triglycerides are super moisturizing. Goat milk also contains precious skin minerals like selenium and is loaded with vitamins, particularly vitamin A, the most important vitamin for the skin. As with other milks, goatmilk contains lactic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). It assists to gently slough off dead skin cells and helps to hydrate and brighten the skin. Goat milk has unique nourishing properties that make it the perfect ingredient to add to anything which touches your skin, from your shaving cream to your moisturizer. It is both an anti-aging wonder and a lifesaver for dry and sensitive skin.
COLLOIDAL OATMEAL is in fact ground oatmeal, which is then placed in a liquid medium for better application and absorption into the skin. Studies show that colloidal oatmeal can function as a cleanser, moisturizer, skin soother and protective anti-inflammatory agent. Oatmeal is a classic ingredient that is commonly used as a soothing agent to relieve itchy skin and soothe irritation caused by dry skin conditions, but it also has a variety of other functions. The ingredient has shown in clinical studies to help strengthen the skin’s barrier function. Colloidal oatmeal works by creating a film on top of the skin's surface. After using colloidal oatmeal in studies, both the amount of water in the skin that was lost and overall skin hydration showed improvement. Colloidal oatmeal contains high concentrations of starches, which contribute to its water-binding properties. The cellulose and fiber in colloidal oatmeal give it emollient properties that calm redness and irritation. It is a great ingredient for cosmetic products for patients with mild-to-moderate eczema or ichthyosis as well as those with itchy skin and sunburns.Colloidal oatmeal also shows antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Studies show the phenols in the colloidal oatmeal also may help with absorbing UV radiation. Colloidal oatmeal contains saponins, which have cleansing properties and it also has anti-fungal properties. For the most part, colloidal oatmeal is non-irritating and safe for use with all skin types.
SHEA BUTTER has skin moisturizing properties and healing properties because of the wide variety of phytonutrients it contains. It gets easily absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin, where it supplies all the essential fats and nutrients while enhancing the cell repair function by increasing microcirculation. Shea butter is considered an excellent moisturizer for eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis because of its efficacious emollient and humectant properties. The anti-inflammatory properties of this thick butter can be used for lessening the swelling and itching. Shea butter acts as a natural sunscreen by providing protection against the ultraviolet radiations of the sun, though the level of protection offered may be variable. Cinnamic acid, found in shea butter, is a compound that provides UV protection, and the SPFranges from 6-10 depending on the butter’s quality.
PEACH KERNEL OIL- has a relatively high content of Vitamin E and A along with Vitamin B group. It has antioxidant properties that helps to maintain skin health due to the elimination of free radicals that are harmful by-products of metabolic process related with cancers and aging. Peach kernel oil helps to slow down aging process and also maintains the skin’s elasticity due to the presence of polyunsaturated fatty acids that are related to skin health. Peach kernel oil has soothing and emollient properties. It is beneficial for the people with sensitive, dry and flaky skin.
ARGAN OIL- is most commonly used as a moisturizer. The antioxidant activity in argan oil helped protect the skin against free radical damage caused by the sun. This prevented burns and hyperpigmentation as a result. Long term, this may even help prevent against the development of skin cancer, including melanoma. Argan oil contains a large number of healing properties, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Both help reduce symptoms for a number of different inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and rosacea. Vitamin E and the natural inflammatory properties found in argan oil can both lead to soothing effects for skin conditions like acne, Atopic dermatitis and it has long been used as an anti-aging treatment. One 2016 studyTrusted Source found that a water-in-oil cream containing argan oil improved skin elasticity. This helped prevent and treat stretch marks early on.
SWEET ALMOND OIL is full of vitamin E, vitamin A, monosaturated fatty acids, protein, potassium and zinc. It can also relieve sun exposure, eczema and rashes. Vitamin E is an extremely powerful antioxidant. Oxidative stress (when your body does not have enough antioxidants to fight free radicals) is a major cause of the deterioration of your skin’s collagen layer. Since collagen keeps your skin looking supple and wrinkle-free, you want to stave off oxidative stress with antioxidants. That is where sweet almond oil comes in. Thanks to the Vitamin E in it, sweet almond oil keeps your skin cells healthy, protects your skin from UV radiation damage and helps your skin look smooth, soft and free of fine lines. The fatty acids help your skin retain moisture and can heal chapped and irritated skin. Besides that, the vitamin A can help reduce acne. Because it is packed with these vitamins and nutrients, sweet almond oil is a natural skincare superpower. Sweet almond oil is mostly non-comedogenic, which means it is unlikely to clog your pores.
MACADAMIA OIL has a relatively light consistency, compared to most oils so it can be used as the base oil or one of the base oils in any cleansing routine! It works well in purifying skin of all types including acne prone skin. Containing a perfect balance of essential fatty acids such as oleic, linoleic and palmitoleic acids, one of the best macadamia nut oil skin benefits is its skin hydrating and moisturizing properties. These fatty acids nourish the skin, help combat dry flakes and lock in moisture. As an added bonus, macadamia oil mimics your skin’s natural oils, making it an ideal match for maintaining your glow. Much as its name implies, macadamia oil comes from the macadamia nut, which is native to Australia. Macadamia oil is readily absorbed into the skin and it does not leave you feeling greasy or slimy. In addition to infusing your skin with moisture, using macadamia nut oil topically firms your skin while maintaining a youthful glow.
GRAPESEED OIL has got antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-aging and antimicrobial properties. It is used to treat the health conditions such as arthritis, wrinkles, acne, age spots, dry or itchy skin, chapped lips, bruising, wounds, varicose veins, stretch marks, premature aging, weight loss, premenstrual syndrome, dandruff, stress, cardiovascular ailments, hair loss, hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes, high cholesterol levels, cataracts, visual impairment etc.
APRICOT KERNEL OIL is a yellow-coloured carrier oil has a golden touch on skin. Easily applied and absorbed, this lightweight oil resembles the body's naturally-produced oil sebum. Its fatty acids act as emollients to nourish dry skin and its vitamins rejuvenate skin's softness and elasticity. Apricot kernel oil acts as a non-greasy emollient. Its high amounts of essential fatty acids maintain the balance of moisture and fill in gaps between skin cells to leave skin silky and hydrated. Its oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids are friendly fatty acids that fight off acne, inflammation and dryness while locking in moisture. As an occlusive oil, it seals in moisture to reveal soft, dewy skin. Its vitamin-A content helps lubricate and heal skin, leaving it supple and silky. Apricot kernel oil passes deep into the skin to restore skin cell membranes and provide long-lasting hydration and relief. This oil's high dose of vitamin E boosts the skin's ability to retain elasticity and clarity. Antioxidant vitamin E combats free-radical damage and inflammation. The oil's antioxidant vitamin C promotes collagen production, which gives skin extra stability and suppleness.
SAFFLOWER OIL is a favourite in natural skin care because it is a botanical alternative to synthetic emollients. Extracted from the oil of safflower seeds, the oil is a potent hydrator and ideal for dry, sensitive complexions. Safflower oil contains lubricant properties that prompt the skin to retain water and moisture. The oil consists primarily of linoleic acid, an omega-6that is packed with essential vitamins. Safflower oil prevents dryness and roughness and removes dirt and oil. Its content makes safflower oil a key treatment for issues including eczema, psoriasis and acne. Its hydrating properties lend skin a healthy glow, promote elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
SUNFLOWER OIL has emollient properties that help the skin retain its moisture. Sunflower oil is extremely high in vitamin E – an antioxidant that helps protect skin cells from harmful UV rays from the sun and other environmental stressors. Vitamin E helps trap moisture inside skin cells, keeping skin hydrated for a longer period. In addition to vitamin E, sunflower oil is also rich in vitamins A, C and D, making it effective in the treatment of acne. Sunflower seed oil contains vitamins and fatty acids that act as antioxidants to regenerate new skin cells and help your skin rid itself of acne-causing bacteria. The antioxidant properties of sunflower oil help in preventing premature signs of aging, as it helps protect the skin from exposure to sunlight. Sunflower oil has natural calming properties that improve your skin’s moisture retention capacity and is beneficial for individuals with dehydrated or sensitive skin.

Dr Esthe’ Spicules Korean Beauty Skin Journey Update
Enter spicules: the tiny but mighty K-beauty secret behind that flawlessly glowing, glass-like complexion.
The latest buzz in skincare isn't an injectable per se... it's a million microscopic, needle-like structures designed to refresh your complexion with a treatment that works beneath the surface for a visibly smoother finish.
Sourced from hydrolysed European freshwater sponges, each spicule is packed with skin-loving proteins, minerals, and silica that naturally stimulate skin regeneration.
These tiny powerhouses work on the skin's surface to smooth texture, even out tone, refine pores and boost radiance - while delivering active ingredients like peptides and niacinamide for helping skin appear more radiant and refined over time.
With no fancy gadgets - just minimal downtime and real results - the spicule treatment, delivered through a rich cream using a precise dot-application method, has been making waves around the world as the next big thing in skincare.
For those looking to tap into K-beauty treatments, you're in luck - INSKIN COSMEDICS has brought the latest skincare obsession to Australia as the exclusive distributor of Dr.esthé, one of the leading cosmeceutical brands, developed by 100 Korean dermatologists.
Elise Wilson, Daily Mail's senior lifestyle reporter and beauty expert, was invited to trial the DR SPI-CURE at the INSKIN COSMEDICSHQ in Sydney's Olympic Park to see if it lived up to expectations.
'If you've ever wondered what it feels like to have a million microscopic needles worked into your face… let me tell you - it's prickly, but it's absolutely worth it,' Elise says.
So how does DR SPI-CURE work? It's a professional in-clinic treatment for $250 lasting 40 minutes - perfect if you want a facial between work hours, are prepping your skin for a major life event or simply need some TLC for your complexion.
The treatment begins with a deep double cleanse using Dr.esthé's milk and gel cleansers, packed with skin-loving botanicals, probiotics, ceramides and minerals to purify and prep the skin.
After a deep cleanse and thorough skin consultation with the therapist, I shared that my main concerns were fine lines and a stubborn patch of congestion around my nose,' Elise explains.
'So we decided this targeted spicule facial (DR SPI-CURE) would be my best bet.'
The microscopic European freshwater spicules are then massaged and pressed into the skin. This step smooths rough texture, reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation, decongests pores and kickstarts rejuvenation from within.
'Think of it as a controlled micro-exfoliation, but without the harshness,' Elise says.
The treatment itself lasted around 40 minutes, with the spicules massaged into my skin for about five minutes in slow, circular motions. The sensation was definitely prickly - like very fine sandpaper - but not painful
To calm and restore, a cooling pearl sheet mask infused with mineral-rich glacial water, hydrating proteins, and soothing botanicals is then applied, instantly reducing redness and deeply hydrating.
The treatment is then completed with a customised layering of targeted serums and creams designed to enhance skin health and lock in the glow.
'My therapist applied a rich moisturiser to lock everything in,' Elise explains.
'When I looked in the mirror, my skin was slightly flushed, almost as if I'd just finished a workout.'
Leaving the clinic was only the beginning of Elise's post-treatment journey.
The spicules are expected to stay in the skin for up to 48 hours.
'The aftercare was strict: I wasn't allowed to wash my face until the next morning, and even then, I had to pat it dry after the shower and gently press on my skincare products so I wouldn't disturb the spicules still working away in my skin,' she says.
While the DR SPI-CURE treatment wasn't painful, Elise says she could feel the tingle on her face over the next couple of days.
On her first night, she slept on her back - something she recommends to anyone getting the DR SPI-CURE treatment - as she found the spicules made her skin a 'little sensitive against the pillow'.
She decided to skip makeup entirely the following morning as she could still feel the 'prickly' sensation on her face.
'By night two, the feeling had faded significantly and I could wear makeup again,' Elise And by day three, I noticed light shedding around my chin and nose. The prickly feeling was gone entirely by then though.'
She began to see noticeable results within four days.
'It was day four that sold me - my skin was glassy,' she explains.
'Dewy, plump, and smooth, my makeup went on like a dream. I stuck to very gentle skincare for the full five days post-treatment, patting everything on carefully to make sure I got the maximum benefit.'
Elise says the best results develop gradually over the next few days, as she noticed her skin looking more radiant with time.
'This is one of those facials that keeps on giving - you actually see more results in the days following than immediately after,' she says.
For anyone curious to try DR SPI-CURE, Elise says: 'If you can handle a bit of prickliness and some downtime from your usual skincare routine, it's a glow-up well worth the wait.'
Michelle Sciara, the national education manager of INSKIN COSMEDICS, says DR SPI-CURE is a great alternative to skin needling, also known as microneedling, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin.
'Spicules penetrate the skin in a similar way to needles, but where it's different to needles is that it creates a sort of mass activation,' Michelle tells Daily Mail.
'It's like a wakeup call for your cells, that's what we call it. Needles are much larger, they create very specific trauma channels that target different layers of the skin.
'Whereas because we're using millions, and depending on the treatment that we choose, it's either one million or five million spicules.'
Michelle says the DR SPI-CURE treatment supports the skin's renewal process for a fresher, more refined appearance.
In an exclusive partnership with Dr.esthé, INSKIN COSMEDICS offers two signature spicule treatments for Australian clinics - DR SPI-CURE and PEEL-N-GLOW.
Delivered in a 40-minute session, PEEL-N-GLOW contains five million ultra-fine spicules and offers two treatment options: one designed to brighten and visibly even skin tone, the other to help clarify the appearance of congested skin.
Both treatments are infused with pearl powder, pearl extract, volcanic ash and clinically active ingredients to gently exfoliate, and enhance overall skin texture and radiance.
'What excites me most about Dr.esthé's spicule treatments is how they perfectly combine scientific innovation with practicality,' Maria Enna-Cocciolone, founder and CEO of INSKIN COSMEDICS, says.
They're advanced, results-driven, affordable and incredibly easy to integrate into the clinic. With no devices and minimal downtime required, these protocols deliver impressive resurfacing and rejuvenation outcomes.
'We're proud to offer these treatments alongside face-to-face training and certification to ensure clinics feel confident in their delivery and most importantly, see real results in their clients' skin.'
What are the breakouts in your skin telling you about your body?
1. Face Mapping: The Ultimate Skin Mirror
You may not realise it, but your skin is constantly sending you messages.
By paying attention to the different areas of your face, you can gain insights into your internal health—especially your hormonal balance.
✨ Forehead: If you’re noticing breakouts here, it could be linked to digestive issues or stress.
✨ Cheeks: Dull or red cheeks may indicate imbalances in your lungs or blood sugar levels.
✨ Jawline & Chin: Hormonal fluctuations often show up here—think menopause or PMS.
2. Biohacking Your Energy Levels with Sleep Optimisation
Optimising your sleep is the one thing that will impact every aspect of your life—especially energy and focus.
Here’s how to biohack your sleep:
✨ Limit Blue Light: An hour before bed, avoid screens to help your body produce melatonin naturally.
✨ Magnesium: It’s a natural relaxant—try taking it 30 minutes before sleep for deeper rest.
✨ Consistency: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day to regulate your circadian rhythm.
Better sleep means more sustained energy and a clearer mind, which will help you power through your day without the afternoon slump.
3. Hormonal Balance Through Nutrition
What you eat has a profound impact on your hormones—especially as you age. A nutrient-dense diet supports hormone production, stabilises blood sugar, and keeps your energy levels stable.
Focus on these three key nutrients:
✨ Healthy fats (like avocado and olive oil): Support hormone production.
