Dr Esthe’ K Beauty Evaluation continued
Part 2 – The Dr. Esthe K-Beauty Experience
Our Research & Evaluation Journey has officially stepped up a gear — this time, we went hands-on with training.
If you’ve been following along on our exploration into advanced skin technologies, today’s post is where I take you through the next phase of our testing process. This isn’t just about reading the science on paper; it’s about trying the treatment, feeling the sensations, and seeing the results with my own eyes.
And, true to our Sole Revival promise, what you’re going to read here is unfiltered, real, and in plain English.
Why Dr. Esthe Caught My Eye
The Dr. Esthe Skincare range (K-Beauty) has been generating a quiet buzz among skin professionals. It promises results usually associated with microneedling — increased collagen production, improved skin tone, refined pores — but without using needles.
That claim alone was enough to make me curious. I love treatments that bridge the gap between science and skin wellness, especially when they offer results without unnecessary downtime.
But curiosity isn’t enough to get a treatment into the Sole Revival menu. I need to understand it from the inside out. That means:
Studying the science and ingredients
Ensuring it is ethically sourced
Ingredients must be high quality and traceable
Efficacy it has to deliver in its promises
Experiencing the treatment personally
Observing how real skin responds, in real life
The Science — in Simple Terms
Dr. Esthe treatments use spicules — microscopic, naturally derived needle-like structures that act as tiny delivery systems for high-performance active ingredients. These spicules help ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin than topical application alone.
In this treatment, those ingredients include:
Peptides – for skin repair and firmness
Niacinamide – to even skin tone and strengthen the skin barrier
Tranexamic Acid – to target pigmentation and brighten the complexion
Growth Factors – to support skin regeneration
Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid – for deep hydration at multiple skin layers
It’s essentially “skin needling without the needling” — offering many of the same benefits without a needle puncturing the skin.
Why I Think It’s a Game-Changer
If you’ve ever wanted to try microneedling but felt uneasy about the idea of actual needles, this could be your answer. It still stimulates your skin to renew itself, but in a gentler way.
It’s also pregnancy safe, which makes it rare in the world of advanced skin treatments. In fact, our trainer on the day, Kerrie, was pregnant — and glowing after her own Dr. Esthe session.
What It Feels Like (The Honest Version)
On application, the sensation is unusual. The best way I can describe it is like having fine, glass-like particles being gently buffed into your skin. Not exactly relaxing, but not painful either — and far less intense than microneedling.
During treatment, the feeling is concentrated but manageable. Afterwards, my skin had that same “freshly worked on” sensation you get after a skin needling session — a little heat, a slight tightness, and the sense that something is actively happening under the surface.
The Benefits We’re Aiming For
Here’s what the Dr. Esthe treatment is designed to achieve:
Stimulate collagen and elastin production
Speed up skin regeneration through increased cell turnover
Improve pigmentation for a more even skin tone
Refine skin texture and minimise pores
Deeply hydrate the skin
Address multiple concerns in one session — ageing, pigmentation, dullness, and loss of elasticity
For my own trial, I specifically chose the pigmentation-focused formula, because I want to see how well it can even out my skin tone.
My Test Case – “Miss E”
For this session, I performed the treatment on Miss E. This is where the real-world research happens. I can study the sensation, application process, and results from a client’s perspective, while also monitoring how skin reacts over the hours and days that follow.
The Evening After Treatment – The “Spiky” Phase
By evening, both Miss E and I experienced similar sensations. My own skin felt warmer to the touch, and when I lightly ran my fingertips across it, I could feel hundreds of tiny, almost invisible “spikes” — the spicules.
It’s an odd sensation because if you don’t touch your face, you wouldn’t notice it at all. But to the touch, it’s unmistakable. This is the phase where the active ingredients are doing their work beneath the skin’s surface.
The Days That Follow
Over the next 24–48 hours, I expect:
Some mild redness, as the skin continues responding
A light prickly feeling if touched
Possible dryness or flaking as the old surface cells shed
Gradual brightening and smoothing as new skin reveals itself
I’ll be monitoring Miss E’s journey closely, as everyone’s skin responds at its own pace.
Why This Matters for Sole Reviva
At Sole Revival, we don’t add treatments to our menu lightly. Every treatment goes through this process of evaluation because my clients trust me to provide only what truly works.
With Dr. Esthe, the combination of science-backed ingredients, spicule technology, and client comfort is ticking a lot of boxes.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
We’re still in the testing phase, but early impressions are promising. The immediate glow post-treatment is impressive, the downtime is minimal, and the results — if they continue to build over the coming weeks — could make this a strong addition to our advanced facial lineup.
If you’ve been curious about microneedling but hesitant about needles, this might be the treatment that bridges the gap for you.
I’ll keep you updated as the results unfold — both for myself and for Miss E.
